Cary, North Carolina (PRWEB) January 19, 2006 –
ProviderLink, Inc., a healthcare I.T. communications
company dedicated to helping clients build
results-driven online communities, and MedFORCE
Technologies, the industry leader in paperless
office solutions, announced today that they have
successfully integrated their solutions for Aeroflow
Healthcare, a home medical equipment (HME) provider,
and will be promoting this integration to existing
customers. By using MedFORCE 5, Aeroflow
Healthcare has successfully eliminated all their
paper files and now manages documents and their
associated workflows electronically. Aeroflow
Healthcare uses ProviderLink to collect physician
signatures and prescriptions electronically.
Prior to this integration, Aeroflow Healthcare had
to transfer many documents from ProviderLink to
MedFORCE and vice versa by printing documents from
one system and scanning them into the other. Now,
with the integration, Aeroflow Healthcare can
transfer the documents directly from one system to
another without printing paper. This means Aeroflow
Healthcare can store all their paperwork, collect
physician signatures, and exchange supporting
documentation without ever printing a single sheet
of paper. The online exchange of information between
the two systems has had a profound effect upon staff
productivity, patient satisfaction and account
resolution.
According to Wayne King, product manager at
ProviderLink, “Our integrated solution brings HME
providers the opportunity to move their business
operations further along the paperless continuum. We
are thrilled to offer a solution that maximizes our
client's investment.”
Based on her experience in the DME/HME industry,
Esther Apter, president and CEO of MedFORCE
Technologies, Inc., knows how seamless integration
can save time and boost productivity. “We are proud
to offer solutions that make the flow of information
more efficient.
MedFORCE strongly believes in the open exchange of
information between vendors. MedFORCE has a strong
commitment to the industry due to years of
experience working with HME/DME customers and
vendors. We are proud to integrate with other
vendors with the same open architecture philosophy
and commitment to the industry. By integrating with
ProviderLink we are enabling DME/HMEs to become more
competitive and capable of dealing with impending,
industry-wide regulatory changes and cuts.”
Casey Hite, vice-president of Aeroflow Healthcare,
has seen the impact of the ProviderLink/MedFORCE
integration. “Aeroflow has always strived for
optimal efficiency and innovation, which is why we
embraced technologies such as MedFORCE and
ProviderLink. Now, with MedFORCE Technologies’
integration with ProviderLink, we are able to
realize significantly higher productivity, which
results in quicker account resolution and patient
satisfaction. Because of the two vendors’
cooperation we have become even more competitive
within our industry.”

About MedFORCE Technologies, Inc.
MedFORCE Technologies is a software company that
develops applications for the healthcare industry.
MedFORCE was started with the collaboration of its
sister company, Healthcare Management Solutions
Inc., (HMS) a medical billing service company. HMS
has been an established name in the healthcare
industry since 1993.
MedFORCE SCAN has been in use since 2000. Due to the
fact that HMS's clients encompass a wide variety of
medical providers, the software is designed with the
understanding of the unique needs of all types of
medical offices and businesses with special focus on
durable medical equipment providers. Scanning
documents has proved so beneficial to HMS that
MedFORCE Technologies was created in order to
provide a stand-alone scanning program specifically
customized for the medical industry that addresses
the unique paper needs of this industry. The
customized solution ensures the benefits of going
paperless are maximized to increase providers’
efficiencies and cash flow, reduce expenses, and
help providers remain competitive in this
ever-changing environment.
All product releases are vigorously tested and
implemented at HMS; this gives MedFORCE Technologies
the unique advantage of having detailed, practical
insight into the effectiveness of the software,
tested in real-world situations. MedFORCE has since
grown to be the leader in document management and
paperless office solutions for the DME/HME industry.
